This session explores how decentralised technologies—like blockchain and federated learning—can transform biometric authentication in smart cities. As urban systems grow more interconnected, secure and privacy-preserving biometric identity management becomes essential. This session addresses key challenges in current centralised systems and showcases innovative, cross-domain solutions for scalable, secure identity frameworks.
